Crew on Call Australia Pty Ltd began as Lock & Load International back in 1992 when three associates Tony Harrison, Adrian Ward & Andy Laidler established a small, Sydney based crewing company. Starting with just a few employees who serviced Rock 'n' Roll bands, the company grew into the largest crewing service in the entertainment industry in Australia, providing skilled and unskilled labour to Film Companies, Production Companies, Staging companies, Promoter, Event Management Companies and the Corporate sector.

In just a few short years Crew on Call Australia Pty Ltd was providing up to 200 crew for large events like The Rolling Stones "Voodoo Lounge" Tour and also U2 "Popmart" tour. In 2000 the biggest event in Australian sporting history - The 27th Summer Olympic Games called upon Crew on Call Australia to provide up to 500 crew to assist in producing, what IOC President famously called "The best ever Games", our biggest successful task undertaken to date.

More recently Crew On Call Australia Pty Ltd deployed nineteen technical staff to Doha, Qatar for the 2006 Asian Games & provided accredited staff for the APEC meetings held at the Sydney Opera House. We also provided regional personnel for the Silverchair & Powderfinger “Across the Great Divide Tour” in places such as Perth, Coffs Harbour & Wollongong. Crew on Call Australia were also crucial to the success of World Youth Day providing skilled staff for building the Pope's furniture as well as the impressive stages at both AJC and Wharf 8. Crew On Call Australia is also heavily involved in the ARIA’s & MTV Music awards. Another exciting addition to the Crew On Call family is the establishment of Crew On Call New Zealand in August 2007. So now clients have the advantage of one labour & technical support company across the ditch in both Australia & New Zealand!

Crew on Call Australia has a strict employment screening regime. Only applicants with industry specific accreditation, licenses and/or experience are considered for employment. In the interview process the applicant is tested on our Induction and OH&S manuals to ensure applicants compy with all OH&S guidelines and fully understand our high expectations and protocols.
