Crew On Call was established in 1992 when three associates Tony Harrison, Adrian Ward and Andy Laidler formed a small, Sydney based crewing company, Lock and Load International. Starting with just a few employees who serviced Rock 'n' Roll bands, the company grew into the largest crewing service in the entertainment industry in Australia, providing skilled and unskilled labour to Film Companies, Production Companies, Bands, Event Management Companies and the Corporate sector.

In just a few short years Crew On Call Australia was providing up to 200 crew for large events like The Rolling Stones "Voodoo Lounge" Tour and also U2 "Popmart" tour. In 2000 the biggest event in Australian sporting history - The 27th Summer Olympic Games called upon Crew On Call Australia to provide up to 500 crew to assist in producing, what IOC President famously called "The best ever Games", our biggest successful task undertaken to date.

More recently, Crew On Call has been successfully involved in the production of Ben Hur, Oprah's Winfreys Sydney Show, Walking With Dinosaurs II, the V8 Supercars, the Underbelly Series and many recent rock concerts such as Beyonce, Lady Ga Ga, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Gun's n Roses, The Muse and Rihanna. As well as ongoing involvement in the production of The Big Day Out, Future Music Festival, Soundwaves, ARIAS, Sydney Festival, The Wiggles, Australian Fashion Week, NRL Grand Final and Australian Idol, other noteable productions include The Commonwealth Games Melbourne (2006), Victorian Bushfire Aid Concert, “Australia” The Movie, “Wolverine” and the Sydney Motor Show to name a few.

Crew On Calls other successes include the deployment of nineteen technical staff to Doha, Qatar for the 2006 Asian Games and provided accredited staff to the APEC meetings held at the Sydney Opera House. Crew On Call also provided regional personnel for the Silverchair and Powderfinger “Across the Great Divide Tour” in places such as Perth, Coffs Harbour and Wollongong. Crew On Call Australia were crucial to the successes of World Youth Day 2008 providing skilled staff for building the Pope’s furniture as well as the impressive stages at both AJC and Wharf 8.

Crew On Call has a strict employment screening regime and only recruits only staff with accredited industry specific Certificates, licenses and experience enabling us to provide you with the right staff for specific tasks. With offices in Perth and New Zealand and affiliate companies in most other capitals, Crew On Call have it covered. Crew On Call are also able to assist with International events.
